As part of my new position at my new company, I need to help conduct Health and safety training for the company. This is something that needs to be accomplished once per year and this will be my first time tackling this job. I’m looking at different consulting firms who will come to your company and do much of the training for you. I had no idea that these types of firms existed, which is a bit embarrassing since I am in the business of knowing these things. The one firm I’ve been communicating with has the option of coming in and doing the entire service themselves, or they can supplement our own staff, so I’m looking into which would work best for us. In speaking with my team, this service used to be entirely outsourced, but it would help our budget to do some of the work ourselves. Of course this may mean some overtime, so we need to weigh that as well.
